May 17th is World Baking Day and May 15th was National Chocolate Chip Day…so what better to way to celebrate this delightful week than by baking a batch of ooey, gooey delicious cookies?
There’s nothing like a yummy cookie to take us back simpler times, and chocolate chip ones are a classic and never go out of style. At the beginning of the world turning upside down in March 2020, I decided to test a number of different recipes to develop the penultimate homemade chocolate chip cookie. This recipe comes pretty darn close to being perfect! The secret is in the brown butter, and in the aging of the dough.
