Throughout time, from Aristotle to a much more recent Dale Carnegie, humans have been asking – how exactly can we influence those around us? Arizona State University Professor, Robert Cialdini, says the key is mentioning one word – “advice.”
“It turns out if you change one word, and instead of asking for that person’s ‘opinion,’ you ask for that person’s ‘advice,’ they take a step towards you,” says Cialdini.
