A study of 20,000 people indicates that blood plasma from those who recovered from COVID-19 can be beneficial in treating those who currently have the disease.
The study, published in Mayo Clinic Proceedings, shows that blood plasma from people who recover from COVID-19 is an effective treatment in fighting the disease. The treatment is based on a 100 year old idea that has been used against measles, influenza and Ebola. This study is the largest analysis yet of this treatment.
